Faith & Philosophy

My Faith

I grew up knowing the name of Jesus. I was raised in a Christian home, shaped by biblical values, and the church was central to my life from the beginning. But somewhere along the way, I drifted into a version of Christianity that centered on doing and achieving rather than on what Christ had already done. It looked like faithfulness. It didn’t feel like freedom.

Leaving that behind was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. What followed was a long, sometimes painful journey of unlearning and rebuilding — of reforming my theology around what the Bible actually says rather than what I had been told it said. That journey brought me face to face with the true gospel, and it changed everything.

When I say I am a Christian, I mean that I am a sinner who has been saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. I believe we are all created in the image of God, and that because of sin, every one of us is separated from Him. But God, rich in mercy, sent His Son to live the perfect life I could never live and to die in my place — taking the punishment I deserved. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead. That is the gospel. It is not something I earned. It is something I was given.

That distinction matters deeply to me. Grace over performance. Truth over control. Rest over striving. It shapes the way I see birth, motherhood, and the women I serve.

Pro-Life & Pro-Family Values

As a Christian doula, I believe every human life is precious and created with purpose — from conception to natural death. My role is to provide compassionate, life-affirming support to mothers and families, helping them feel equipped, empowered, and loved during one of the most significant seasons of their lives.

Being pro-life means valuing all life — the baby’s, the mother’s, and the family’s — and walking alongside each person with gentleness and grace. I serve families in ways that protect their peace, strengthen their relationships, and honor the sacredness of birth and parenting.

Birth Philosophy

I believe pregnancy and birth are God-designed processes — not something to fear, but sacred experiences shaped by the unique relationship between a mother, her baby, and their Creator.

My approach is faith-centered, trauma-aware, and grounded in informed decision-making. I believe preparation should honor the whole person — body, mind, and soul — and I know from experience that faith does not eliminate uncertainty. Trusting God does not mean controlling outcomes. It means being held even when things don’t go the way we hoped.

I approach every family with humility and gentleness, especially those carrying previous loss, trauma, or fear. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to give birth. I believe women are best supported when they are informed, spiritually grounded, and empowered to make decisions with wisdom and discernment alongside a qualified birth team.

My goal is not to prepare you for a specific outcome. It is to help you approach your pregnancy and birth with clarity, confidence, and peace — rooted in truth, supported by knowledge, and held with grace.

If this resonates with you, I'd love to walk alongside you.
