A personal letter to the woman who’s starting over.

Hi friend,

If you’ve landed here, there’s a good chance you’re walking through something heavy.

Maybe you’ve just left a community, group, or system that once shaped your whole life—your choices, your beliefs, even your sense of self. Or maybe you’re still physically there, but emotionally and spiritually, something in you has already begun to shift.

Maybe you’re not sure what to call it yet.
Maybe you’re afraid to say it out loud.
Maybe you’ve left, but you’re still carrying the weight.

And maybe—quietly—you’re asking questions like:
“Can I really do this on my own?”
“Where do I even begin?”
“Will I ever feel steady again?”

I know those questions. I’ve lived them.

In 2017, my family left a high-control environment that had shaped everything about our lives—our income, our community, our identity. We walked away with no savings, no safety net, and no clear plan. Just the deep conviction that we couldn’t stay—and the faith that somehow, God would meet us on the other side.

The months and years that followed were filled with grief, disorientation, and fear. We were trying to provide for our kids while also processing the quiet unraveling of everything we’d once called normal. My husband took whatever work he could find. I juggled childcare and birth work. We homeschooled. We stretched every dollar. We questioned ourselves constantly.

But slowly, quietly, we started to rebuild.

And somewhere in that rebuilding, Purposely Entrusted Motherhood was born—not just as a business, but as a reflection of what I had learned:
That even in the mess, even in the fog, God had entrusted me with something sacred.
My family. My voice. My story. My purpose.

And if you’re here, I want you to know—He’s entrusted something to you too.

You don’t have to name what you left.
You don’t have to explain why it was hard.
You don’t even have to be sure you’re ready for support.

But if you’re feeling lost, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, I want you to know this:

You are not alone.
You are not behind.
And you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

I can’t promise to have all the answers. But I can be a listening ear. I can help you take small steps forward—whether that means creating a financial plan, exploring work-from-home options, or just hearing your story and pointing you to someone who can help.

Whatever brought you here, I want you to know you’re welcome. You’re safe. You’re seen.

You were never meant to carry it all.
And you don’t have to start over alone.

💛 Amy
